How to Get 2 GB of Google Drive Storage for Free
In this post, you're going to learn how to get 2 GB of Google Drive space for FREE.
Google recently started a limited time event where you can get 2 GB of space for your google account for free to celebrate Safer Internet Day. For those of you who didn't know, by default, your free Google account only supports a maximum of 15 GB of storage space which is shared across your Google Drive, Gmail, and all other Google services. Once you run out of space, and need more, you will need to pay a monthly subscription to get more space.
UPDATE - This offer has expired. Google no longer offers a free 2 GB of space.
How to Get 2 GB Space Free?
All you have to do is click the following link:
https://security.google.com/settings/security/secureaccount
What the event is is basically Google is wanting us users to do a security check on our account(s). Once we finished doing it - which takes only less than a few minutes - you should notice a 2 GB boost in space for your account.
How Do I Check My Google Account Storage Space?
You can check your Google Drive storage space or you can go to your Gmail account, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, and there should be a storage space metric. That is where you can see the space.
